Default Matrix Options updates
This is for all users of the Matrix spreadsheets.

I have created new versions of some of the spreadsheets in the Matrix Options course. Anyone that would like the new versions please email me (midas@telkomsa.net).

The reason for the updates is that the raw data file (.csv)containing all the options has now become so big that it will not fit into a version of Excel before Excel 2007 (Excel was limited to 65536 lines of data). If you are creating files using the older versions of Excel then you will find some of the data missing; typically the Wheat contracts near the end of the file get lost.

I have included filter parameters in the spreadsheet that creates the text file to limit the data to a specified date in the future and also a range of strike prices either side of the ATM strike. These parameters can be changed to suit your requirements.

I find that if you limit the data to the cut-off date, say 31 Dec 2010, and also say 10 strikes either side of the ATM strike the data file can be reduced to about 16,ooo lines instead of close to 80,000 at the moment.

As I see that your post re. the updates in this thread is 2010, it is unlikely that I have them. Hence, I'd be grateful if you cold send them to me, pleae?
